Even though last year's APCC 2021 was a virtual conference, having entire session online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, plans have been laid out for a more relatively normal conference this year. Korea lifted most COVID-19 restrictions recently, starting a journey back to normalcy. Most notable is that all social distancing rules, except the mask mandate, were scrapped. Curfews on restaurants, cafes, bars and other entertainment establishments were lifted completely. And people are now allowed to gather without any restrictions such as the 10-person cap on private gatherings.
Our APCC 2022 team came to conclusion that it will be a very normal offline conference, but we still have concerns about unknown situations later this year. Therefore, to be on the safe side in this year, it will be the hybrid event that will physically take place in Jeju Island with the option to attend virtually. The detailed plan on the hybrid conference will be announced later.
